Ryokan or ski resort?
Choose Zaborin or SHIGUCHI when the stay itself, architecture, food and privacy matter more than walking to lifts. Choose a larger resort when ski school, equipment, family logistics, multiple restaurants or apartment-style space are the priority. A quiet ryokan can be a poor ski base; a convenient resort can feel busy. Decide that trade-off before comparing price.

Is Niseko only worth visiting in winter?
