JUSANDI is a resort of five private pool villas set in the subtropical forest of Yaeyama on Ishigaki Island, Okinawa. Four one-bedroom villas (60 sqm, for 2 adults) and one two-bedroom villa (100 sqm, for up to 4 adults) each have a 3.5 x 7m private pool with a gazebo and daybed, and the walls use Ryukyu limestone. The on-site restaurant serves breakfast (Japanese or American style) and a fusion-style dinner built on local Ryukyu ingredients, and a promenade on the grounds leads to the nearest beach about 3 minutes' walk away. The resort welcomes children of all ages and also accepts solo travellers; the nearest convenience store is about 25 minutes away by car.
