Okinawa is the catalogue's island region. Its 11 houses sit on subtropical islands: the main island, Miyako and Irabu, and Ishigaki and Taketomi in the Yaeyama group. Miyako is about 45 minutes by air from Naha, and Ishigaki about an hour.

The outer islands
Rosewood Miyakojima sits on a beach on Miyako, about 20 minutes by car from Miyako Airport, and Jusandi keeps just five villas on Ishigaki, each with its own pool. HOSHINOYA Taketomi Island is on Taketomi, ten minutes by boat from Ishigaki Port.
The main island
On the main island, which needs no flight from Naha, Halekulani Okinawa is on the Onna coast, with four restaurants and a bar, among them House Without A Key, named after the restaurant at the Waikiki original. Hyakuna Garan, in Nanjo in the south, has eighteen rooms beside Mibaru Beach, about 35 minutes by car from Naha Airport. Halekulani holds two Keys and Hyakuna Garan one.
