Simose Art Garden Villa is in Otake, Hiroshima, by the Seto Inland Sea, alongside the SIMOSE art museum, and all of its structures were designed by architect Shigeru Ban. Its ten villas are split between five Forest Villas in a grove of trees and five Waterfront Villas facing a water basin; the baths described range from hinoki and Towada-stone tubs to terrace Jacuzzis, and there is no large public bath. Dinner is a French prix-fixe course in the open-kitchen restaurant and breakfast is a Western breakfast in the same dining room; meals are not served in the villas. Nine of the villas sleep one or two people, and the Furniture House takes up to four.
