Oyado The Earth stands in old-growth forest on a cape overlooking the Pacific, in Toba, Mie Prefecture. Its suites range from 61 to 125 square metres, and each has its own open-air bath; some add a private sauna, a private pool or a tatami room. The inn's hot-spring baths are filled from its own source, Tatsu no Sumika Onsen, which opened in March 2009. Dinner is a Japanese kaiseki of seasonal ingredients from Ise-Shima and elsewhere, served in the Arashi dining room, which projects from the tip of the cape. Children of elementary-school age or younger are not accepted.
