Nishimuraya Honkan is a traditional ryokan in the middle of Kinosaki Onsen, the willow-lined hot spring town along the Otani River; it was founded in the Ansei era of the Edo period and cites a 165-year history. It has 29 rooms, which the inn describes as overlooking a Japanese garden, and the separate Hirata-kan wing, built in the mid-Showa era by sukiya master Masaya Hirata, is a registered cultural property. The inn has its own indoor hot spring baths and open-air baths, and guests can walk to the town's six public bathhouses. Dinner is seasonal kaiseki served in your room using local Tajima produce, and only guests aged 10 and over are accepted.
