THE YUKAWA Ichijo Branch is an all-suite inn at Kamasaki Onsen in Shiroishi, Miyagi, set beside the Yukawa river and the Ichijo forest. All 11 rooms, in four types from 72 to 90 square metres, have a terrace and an open-air bath facing the forest and the Yukawa river, and the in-room bath can be used 24 hours a day during the stay. Two further private open-air baths fed by the inn's own hot spring can be used without reservation, and there is a bar serving sake from Miyagi breweries and elsewhere in Japan, as well as Japanese whisky. Dinner and breakfast are served in private dining rooms open to the forest, with a choice of Japanese or Western breakfast.
