Maki no Oto Kanazawa is a machiya-style auberge on Kannon-dori in Kanazawa's Higashi Chaya district, with only four rooms: two in the main building and two in a separate annex. Rooms are 40-50 m2 Western or Japanese-Western rooms for up to 2 or 3 guests, each with its own bath; there is no large communal bath and the water is not hot spring. Dinner is either at the in-house creative Japanese restaurant Higashiyama Wakon or at one of the inn's partner restaurants around Kanazawa, and breakfast is Western only.
