Villa Rakuen is the suite wing of Hotel New Awaji on the Komoe coast at Sumoto Onsen, Awaji Island, which opened in July 2010 and added the new 'Asahi no Niwa' rooms in December 2022, 2023 and 2024. Every room is a Japanese-style suite of 80.5 to 182.4 square metres with a terrace and a private open-air bath drawing Sumoto hot spring water, and Villa Rakuen guests have their own top-floor sky lounge overlooking the Kitan Strait and Osaka Bay. Guests can also use the hotel's large public hot spring baths during their stay. On in-room dining plans, a kaiseki of Awaji Island produce is served at the dining table in your suite. The hotel describes the rooms as suited to everything from couples' anniversary trips to three-generation family holidays.
