Shisui, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Nara
Shisui, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Nara

Shisui's restaurant occupies the restored 1922 residence of Nara's prefectural governor, whose reception room is where Emperor Showa signed the ratification of the San Francisco Peace Treaty in November 1951.

Shisui stands at the western edge of Nara Park, surrounded by World Heritage sites such as Kasuga Taisha, Kofukuji and Todaiji. Its 43 rooms are spread over two floors, and 23 of them have an onsen bath or open-air onsen bath. Restaurant Suiyo occupies the restored 1922 guest rooms of the former Nara governor's residence, and the hotel adjoins the Yoshikien garden. Staying guests can reserve one of two private spa rooms with open-air onsen baths, and a free-flow champagne 'Garden Delight' runs from 17:00 to 19:00 for hotel guests.
