Tobira Onsen Myojinkan is a hot-spring inn founded in 1931, set inside a quasi-national park in Matsumoto, Nagano. Rooms range from Japanese tatami rooms to rooms with Sealy beds, and several types have their own open-air or in-room hot-spring bath; all rooms are non-smoking and many have no TV. All guests can use the three shared baths: the standing bath Setsugekka, the large bath Hakuryu with an open-air section, and the lying bath Kuzan; there is no private reserved bath. Dinner is served in either a Nature French restaurant or a Japanese restaurant rather than in the room, and breakfast is Japanese or Western. A free shuttle, reserved in advance, runs from Matsumoto Station.
